New Beginnings

To complement your baby shower gift:

Dear Jess -
We've been friends for nearly two decades
And I've seen how life's trials you face
You have an incredible courage and strength
Equanimity, stamina, grace.
This life that you carry within you
A baby boy blessed from the start
To have parents like you and like Jeffrey
Whose love overflows from the heart.
He'll be blessed by the values you'll teach him
To cherish each moment each day
And you two will be there to guide him
As he goes along life's journey's way.
I share in this joyous occasion
The excitement I feel overflows
I can't wait 'til the day he comes into the world
With his precious ten fingers and toes!

For a Baptism:

Dear Norah Cecelia Mack - precious godchild - dear niece
Wishing you blessings of love and joy
and everlasting peace!
You're surrounded by a family
filled with love and filled with light
Reflected in Baptismal's candle
with its flame that burns so bright.
Your big sister Natalie - a lamp to light the way
To teach your days to be so full of laughter, love and play.
Your loving parents cherish you
with their love born years ago
Within their hearts you'll always find
deep love and a warmth aglow.
To my dear sister Jennifer-
Norah's faith you entrust to my care
God's guidance, and love and blessings
will always be there to share.

For a First Communion:

Now the Lord will guide you and be with you every day
As you make your first communion
joining Jesus on His way.
As you share the bread and share the cup,
let Love flow in your heart
And as you live with Jesus,
He's your friend and won't depart.
This day is the beginning of your life that's lived with grace
As you gather round the table in this very sacred space.
Remember how I love you
and I think the world of you
You're  sensitive, intelligent
and loving through and through.
I know that God adores you,
you're His light and how you shine
I'm so lucky you're my grandson
and so proud to say you're mine.
Happiness, peace love and joy -
 no hunger and no thirst
Blessings overflowing as you now place Jesus first.
With my love and joy - Congratulations
Grandpa
